Card Services
The holder of the smart card is privy to the following facilities offered by the university:
1. Access control-
Enables UWI ID Card holders to be enrolled in access control systems to gain entry to classrooms, labs, departments offices, bathrooms, etc. (example: The Veterinarian School or The Faculty of Science and Technology)
2. Library-
Allows the Smartcard to be used at the circulation Desk for loans and returns of books.
3. Gym(SSA)-
Gym(SSA) - The SPEC Services Application allows students and staff to use their Smartcard to register and sign up to use the Gym facilities. It is also used to Check In and Check Out at the Gym.
4. Examinations(USES)-
The UWI Semester Exam System allows students to use their Smartcard to be validated before they enter the examination room. Students and Staff that sign up to be Invigilators will also use the Smartcard, allowing them to Check In and Check Out at the examination room.
